More computer crime anatomy http://tacit.livejournal.com/240750.html?style=mine Please, please, please, if you run WordPress or know somebody who does, update your WordPress software. It's quick (takes about five minutes) and easy, and all versions of WordPress prior to 2.5 should be considered completely insecure. ...and tacit also points out that Facebook's been compromised...
Update that software, folks!

Judging by the pharma spam which has infested it, it looks like DISCOFLUX dot COM has been hijacked.
No telling if it's also been infected with anything -- stay clear of it for the time being. Unless you've got a bullet-proof browser.
If you're the owner, or know who it is, it might be wise to investigate and see what the story is.

I've been looking for this movie for a few years now... haunting eBay... haunting DVD lists...
The title of this film comes from the works of Uncle Bob (Robert Anton Wilson) on the mysteries of the Prieure du Sion...
Noon Blue Apples 2002 (AKA New World Order) The Trailer

Some summaries:
NYT A college student finds herself struggling to separate fact from bizarre supposition in this offbeat independent drama. Eris (Lauren Fox) is working on a research paper concerning fear and social phobia phenomena, when, in the course of her reading, she finds the obscure phrase "Noon Blue Apples" keeps popping up -- not once, but several times. Puzzled about what it's supposed to mean, Eris begins digging a bit deeper than before, and soon encounters Zeus (Thomas Jay Ryan), who runs a bookstore specializing in conspiracy literature. Before long, Zeus is giving Eris a crash course in alternate history, shadow government theories, and forbidden knowledge research, and faster than you can order a subscription to "Flatland Magazine," Eris' head is so full of oddball facts and figures that she can't separate which are true and which are mere paranoia -- leaving her with no idea of who or what she can trust.
Noon Blue Apples was screened at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival. (Mark Deming, All Movie Guide)
SFI Noon Blue Apples is a mind-bending psychological thriller that dives headlong into the paranoid convolutions of a conspiracy theorist's worst nightmare.
Eris, an intense university student, is researching her paper on social phobias. Following a lead, she stumbles upon the diaries of an obscure early 20th Century horror novelist and poet. The strange term "Noon Blue Apples" appears. Once. Twice. Three times. Subversive and discomforting pirate radio transmissions bleed into her stereo headphones as she jogs. The research leads Eris to 23rd Street, and down a flight of stairs to the (literally underground) Chapel Perilous bookstore. There she encounters the eccentric trio who run the store, and they agree to lead her deeper into their world. Soon people seem to be watching her. She follows a path to alien invasions, the Bavarian Illuminati, the Dogon and the Sirius system, the Freemasons and the Priory of Sion and solid evidence that Scott Baio is the Anti-Christ. Synchronicity begins to rip holes in her beliefs, and her vision of reality starts to crumble.
Her skepticism is tested as the most enigmatic and dangerous theories start to make sense. She finds herself slipping into a dangerous parallel world of metaphor, chaos and the struggle to control the world.
Originally presented at the Sundance Festival on videotape as a work-in-progress, we will present the World Premiere of the finished 35mm film. Robert Anton Wilson and Tom Robbins fans rejoice!
IMDB The diary of an occult novelist sends Eris, a young college student, on a journey into the paranormal and fantastic, evolving into a living nightmare of paranoia and terror.
Y! Movies Eris, an intense no-nonsense Columbia University student, is assigned a term paper on social phobias. The assignment leads her to the diaries of an obscure horror writer, where she encounters a world of conspiracy theories, ancient secret societies, and some strange news about blue apples. She ends up at the Chapel Perilous Bookstore, a shop featuring the occult and esoteric, here she meets a wide range of personalities. Her search to solve the mystery of the blue apples sends Eris into a living nightmare where she walks the line between reality and paranoia. ...so you can see why I want to get a copy, or a poster, or a script... even though it's been called "Unwatchably bad"...
If you know anything about this film beyond the online sources, please drop me a line.
If not, then enjoy the Trailer!
